5 Great Places To Visit This Summer

With summer around the corner, the weather is becoming increasingly warmer. All minds are turning toward vacations, and the question is always the same: “What is there to do this summer?” Do you want to sit down and relax, or do you have an impulse for adventure? Would you like to explore the quiet wilderness, buzzing cities, or both? Here are five ideas to help you plan a fantastic summer.

1. Give North Carolina a Try

Use North Carolina beachfront rentals to experience perfect tranquility while roaming through the long white sand and wild beaches. Though the state is primarily famous for its beautiful Blue Ridge and Smoky mountains or its reputable live music scene in Ashville, it is worth giving some of its quiet and less explored shorelines a try. Just sit down, relax, and enjoy the wildlife!

2. Drive Down Highway 1 in California

This epic drive will challenge your senses and emotions. Drive down from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and let the sinuous road take you along its dramatic cliffs. Make many stops and explore the stunning Big Sur, Pfeiffer Beach, and more. Camping is big in Big Sur, and the national park offers a large arrow of locations; it is best to plan and reserve a spot early as the openings go fast.

3. Jazz It Up in New Orleans

The wild jazz scene, fantastic food, and beautiful buildings are what most people envision when thinking about New Orleans. Go and enjoy a basket of crawfish in the street, listen to a band of buskers, and discover the eccentric nightlife. New Orleans is buzzing, and the music never stops. So “laisser le bon temps rouler” or “let the good times roll,” as there seems to be no better place to spice up your summer than Louisiana’s heart.

4. Trade New York City for New York State

Are you tired of busy streets, heavy traffic, and fast living? Ditch the smartphone, forget about social media, and relish in laziness in the Adirondacks. Drive only a few hours away from the Big Apple to enjoy quiet green scenery. Go bird watching, sit around the fire pit, and grill some marshmallows. The Adirondacks are the perfect place to recharge your batteries and reconnect with nature.

5. Travel by Train Travel Across Europe

For those craving a culture change, Europe has a lot to offer. It has a vast and efficient railroad system, which means you can slow travel from country to country and make the most of it. Take a stroll in the Parisian streets one day and eat tapas in Madrid the next. From beaches to mountains to big cities, you can see it all. Reach all places by train or bus, where you can meet people, visit museums, listen to live music, and sit on terraces with local food and wine.
